This place popped up while searching and had really great reviews. Yelp win! We went here twice in two days, so it's a long review. Not a lot of choices around so win for them. Nice place. "Great country bbq feel", if that is a thing. Slightly open kitchen. Nice and comfy. I loved the staff, our server was sweet, really helpful, and made solid suggestions. She was the star of the show! We went twice and had her both times. The lady with the glasses was very nice and seemed like she may have owned the place. The second visit our server seemed to be a bit stressed, but I understand. She was very busy. First time my wife wanted the BBQ Jalapeño Poppers so we had those for an appetizer. There wasn't a lot of thought put into this one. It's frozen jalapeño and cheese poppers covered in pulled pork, bac-o-bits (pre bagged bacon byproduct), and bbq sauce. Not sure what she was expecting but it was fair. Server recommended we get the BBQ Sampler on day one. It has brisket, pulled pork, and two spare ribs. She said her favorite protein they had was chicken and we should add that and just share the whole thing. It also comes with potato salad, Cole slaw, and baked beans. This was only $22 plus $4 for the chicken. That's at least $40-$50 worth of food where I stomp around normally. We went for the added chicken, and she was right.... It was maybe the best thing on the plate. It was just a chicken breast sliced up and normally I would have told you no way it's good, but damn. It was tender and smoky and awesome! Not sure how they pulled that off. Impressive. Brisket was almost there, not great. It was better than expected. Seemed slightly old possibly. Not sure if it had been in the fridge and then reheated. We did get lucky and got the fatty side and even got the end pieces. My fave cuts. That helped a bunch. Spare ribs were fair. Not much else I can say. They were served "dry" (no sauce), which I like, but they were needing a bit more moisture left in them from the cook and were way under seasoned for me. Just tasted like smoke. Kid got a small order the second day and didn't eat a whole one. Just not that good. Pulled pork was good, even had some good crunchy bits in it. We had a ton of it leftover because of the leftover from the Poppers and they gave us a bunch on the sampler too. We made 4-5 sandwiches with it later. Chicken tenders were big and juicy. I stole one because they were so dang big. Battered in house, no doubt. Pretty freaking good. My wife loved the Jalapeño Dog. I just say that, but I really mean it. She killed it. She got the pub fries with it and I stole some. All of the sides were standard, nothing to see here. I added some meat to the beans and that elevated them a bit with pork and bac-o-bits in them. Potato salad was well made and tasty. Cole Slaw isn't my thing, but C said it was 3/5. Fries are bagged, both kinds. One is like an Arby's curly fry and one is coated and kind of a rugged fry. Both work well. Kiddo said Mac was good, I didn't try it. Sorry. Pizza was a giant bust. Not good at all. Kills a star. BBQ sauce on the table was good. Not spicy at all, but had a wonderful flavor. Great addition to any of the meats. I will say most can stand alone and the sauce isn't totally needed. I wonder whose it is??? I tried to sneak a peak. Do y'all think they make it? Now.... Here is the best thing. The damn Banana Pudding is unreal. So freaking good we fought over it a little bit and probably should have gotten two more. I think the cheesecake is store bought. What ev's.... I would come back, mainly because ain't much else going on around here folks. We have been to Fairfield Bay twice now, not sure are coming back because this resort has now pissed my wife off. Oh well.... Party on folks '24 - 72/102 one still in jail, one deleted.

Great food, great service, and reasonably priced. Not to mention one of the only options in Greers Ferry for a sit down dinner.

Wife and I ate lunch here on Tuesday as we hadn't had any BBQ during our trip to Arkansas. Greeted when we arrived and told to sit anywhere we want on one side of the restaurant. This place is recently opened and is going through all the growing pains a new restaurant encounters. Staff is capable and our waitress Amber (one of the owners) was having to do double duty as they have a hard time hiring capable staff. We ordered their "Pig Pen" appetizer which has onion straws, pulled pork, cheddar cheese sauce, bacon, tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, and a BBQ mayo drizzle. It was very good but would be even better if the onion straws weren't used as the base and added later in the concoction. The cheese and BBQ mayo kill the crunch the straws provide and the bottom of the plate is indeed a pig pen. That said, this was one of the best parts of our lunch. Wife had the brisket plate and I had the rib plate with a 1/4 pound of brisket added as I wanted to try both. Everything was smoked well but the brisket wasn't trimmed well prior to cooking so we were presented with plates that had 1/2 inch of fat cap that wasn't fully rendered and not a good bite. Amber said she has two pitmasters and this was a Tuesday so hopefully the pitmaster will read this and provide a better product to customers in the future. On a scale of 5, I'd give the brisket a 2.5. The pork ribs, on the other hand were much better than the brisket. The menu says they are St. Louis style, but currently their meat supplier is providing them with baby back ribs which I prefer anyway. They could have used al little more seasoning, (salt and pepper) but were cooked well. I like ribs that don't completely fall off the bone and these were perfect in that regard. I'll give them a 4 out of 5 stars. We both had coleslaw and fried okra for sides and the okra was standard frozen battered okra while the coleslaw was finely chopped with a somewhat sweet light dressing. We had a good lunch and hopefully as they grow and learn more about smoking brisket the experience will get better as there aren't a lot of BBQ places in this area. The restaurant is clean and has a great location and the "Pig Pen" alone is worth a visit. They also serve pizza but that would need another visit. I wish Amber and her staff well and don't hesitate to recommend them as I believe they are learning and truly want to get better.
